During my residency at Arteles Creative Center in rural Finland, solitude and wandering became central to my process. Embracing spontaneity, I created mixed media drawings using leftover ink, thread, and found images from children’s books – allowing shapes and meanings to emerge intuitively. Parallel to this, a series of loosely painted oil works evolved as imaginary portraits, seeking to capture shifting states of thought and emotion – darkness, joy, loneliness, and freedom – within each figure.
